From a young age, it was clear that Melody’s passion lay in styling hair.
Now, with more than 30 years experience in the hair and beauty industry, her passion and love for her work has not faltered.
The high-end service you receive at The Clip Joint Salon is due to Melody’s commitment to offering an inviting and relaxing atmosphere for her clients.
Education remains another top priority for Melody and all of her staff.
Stylists travel to Goldwell and KMS California Academy locations a minimum of once per year to enhance their professional development through skills, knowledge and inspiration. In addition, Melody hosts private in-salon cut, color and styling classes several times a year. This on-site training is provided by a National Goldwell or KMS California educator – considered the best in the hair industry.
As a result of this dedication, Melody is pleased to announce that The Clip Joint Salon has been designated as a Goldwell Titanium Salon.
This prestigious status is awarded to less than 45 salons nationwide. The Clip Joint Salon is the only Goldwell Titanium Salon in the immediate region.
When asked about her hair styling skills, she will tell you that every day she learns something new about hair. She believes that she has been blessed with the ability to create and design hair styles that flatter and compliment your personal look and style. She truly believes that when you feel fabulous on the inside, it will show on the outside.
Amber Ballard
Amber has been a stylist at the Clip Joint Salon since the Spring of 2007.
While working at the Clip Joint, she has attended several classes and conferences including the Master Colorist Growth and Development Program at the Goldwell Academy in Santa Monica, CA; The Goldwell Color Zoom in Las Vegas; and The Goldwell Trend Zoom in Miami, FL.
Amber is also the Ambassador of the salon and is routinely trained on the industry’s newest techniques and trends.
She has made it a personal goal to become proficient with innovative hair cutting and styling techniques and fashions. Since 2007, she has continued to grow her clientele because of her hard work, talent, and the professional relationships she develops every day.
Tori Bell
From a very young age, Tori knew that she wanted to be a professional hair stylist.
Tori began her career with The Clip Joint Salon in 2018 and has been refining her mixology skills and wowing clients with her color creations ever since.
The science behind designing the perfect color blends for each unique client is Tori’s passion and fuels her color obsession.
Tori works in all types and levels of color, haircuts and styling, but admits that dramatic change is her favorite.
Dara Brubaker
Having joined our team in 2023, Dara is the newest member of our salon.
She is not, however, new to the beauty industry. In fact, Dara has nearly 17 years of experience and extensive training! She is educated for multiple professional brands and her history includes nearly a decade of training with top stylists and educating with L’Oréal, training with the Redken Exchange in Manhattan for six years, and becoming a Goldwell Ambassador.
Dara has a tremendous passion for understanding the composition of hair and chemistry of hair color, and states that creating and maintaining healthy hair is priority and of the most upmost importance!
She is certified in seven hair extension techniques, as well as professionally trained in bridal hair and makeup application. Dara has also extensively trained in corrective color techniques and curly hair cutting techniques. She most enjoys specializing in extensions, trending color techniques, special occasion styling and precision cuts.
